How it works

1. Every day (UTC) starts unnamed. You can name today, or any day up to 30 days ahead (birthdays, launches, anniversaries).
2. The first name of each day is free: no card, one per person per day, no link. After that, pay at least $2 to take the day over. Your name, colour and emoji take over the front page the moment payment clears. For a future date they appear on that date's page now and on the front page when the day arrives.
3. Anyone can outbid you by paying at least $1 more. The page becomes theirs. Your bid is not refunded; you stay listed under "also claimed today".
4. At midnight UTC the day is sealed in the archive with the final name on top, and its poster becomes the share image for that date.

For streamers and site owners

Add nametheday.lol/overlay as a browser source in OBS (transparent, updates live; options: ?pos=tr, ?scale=1.5), embed the badge nametheday.lol/badge.svg, or read nametheday.lol/api/v1/today and /feed.xml for bots.

What you get

The front page for as long as you hold it, an archive page for that day, a certificate image that is yours to keep, and a poster you can share. Brands use it for launch days and sales; people use it for birthdays, proposals, jokes and fan clubs.

Rules

• No refunds. Being outbid is the game. If it happens, the email we send you has a link to raise your own claim: you pay only the difference between what you paid and the new price.
• No hate, harassment, adult, political or religious content, no real people beyond a first name, no impersonation, no illegal links. Submissions are screened before payment; anything that slips through is removed without refund.
• Links are nofollow and not endorsed.
• This is not gambling: there is no chance and no prize. You are buying a display slot.
